The Winning Goal

Yesterday, Central School played against River School in an important football match. The weather was cold and windy. Many students watched the game in the stadium. River School scored first, but Central School played well. In the second half, Tom passed the ball to his teammate, and they scored. The score was 1–1. Near the end of the match, Tom ran fast down the left side. He kicked the ball hard into the goal. Everyone jumped and shouted! Central School won 2–1. Tom was very happy. His friends carried him on their shoulders. It was the best day of his life.
