Anna moved to a new house last month. One day, she heard a knock on the door. A boy about her age stood there with a big smile. His name was Sam, and he lived next door.
"Hi! I'm Sam," he said. "Welcome to the neighbourhood!"
Anna was happy to meet him. They talked for a few minutes, and then Sam left.
The next week, Anna's cat went missing. She looked everywhere but could not find it. She was very sad. Then Sam came to her house. "I found your cat!" he said. "It was sleeping in my garden."
Anna was so happy. She thanked Sam many times. Now they are good friends. They play together every day after school.
