My name is Emma and I got my first job last summer. I worked at a café called "The Sunny Spot" for three months. Every day I arrived at 8 a.m. and worked until 2 p.m. My job was to serve customers, take orders, and clean tables.
The first week was difficult. I was nervous and slow. My boss, Marco, was patient and kind. He showed me how to use the coffee machine and how to remember orders. My coworkers helped me too. Soon I felt more confident.
I made good money and saved most of it. But the best part was making friends. I met people from different schools and ages. We laughed together during busy mornings. At the end of summer, I was sad to leave, but I learned that hard work feels good.
