Maria wants to have a small party for her friend Tom's birthday. She plans the party for Saturday at 3 p.m. at her home. First, she makes a list of things she needs. She buys some snacks: chips, cookies, and fruit. She also buys juice and water. Then she goes to the shop and gets some blue and yellow balloons. She puts the balloons on the walls in her living room. Maria invites five friends. On Saturday, Tom arrives at 3 p.m. Everyone is happy. They eat snacks, drink juice, and talk together. They play games and laugh. Tom says "Thank you, Maria. This is a wonderful party!" Maria smiles. Her small party is perfect.
